A few days ago, here in France, a little girl ended her life because she was bullied at school. Everyone is condemning it. And they should.
But let’s stop lying to ourselves.
We live in a world where a massive bully is given a microphone every single day.
On every TV channel.
Spreading hate, contempt, humiliation and giving small bullies a perfect excuse to do the same.
And somehow, that’s acceptable.
No one has the guts to shut him off.
No one wants to take responsibility.
The media keeps feeding the fire, then pretends to be shocked when children commit suicide because of bullies.
This is not the example we should allow to be broadcast.
This is not the society we should normalize.
I’m beyond angry.
I’m beyond sad.
I’m absolutely disgusted by this whole sh*t.
And pretending it’s “just words” is exactly how people die.
