A few days ago, here in France, a little girl ended her life because she was bullied at school. Everyone is condemning it. And they should.

But let’s stop lying to ourselves.

We live in a world where a massive bully is given a microphone every single day.
\nOn every TV channel.
\nSpreading hate, contempt, humiliation and giving small bullies a perfect excuse to do the same.

\n

And somehow, that’s acceptable.

\n
\n

No one has the guts to shut him off.
\nNo one wants to take responsibility.
\nThe media keeps feeding the fire, then pretends to be shocked when children commit suicide because of bullies.

\n

This is not the example we should allow to be broadcast.
\nThis is not the society we should normalize.

\n

I’m beyond angry.
\nI’m beyond sad.
\nI’m absolutely disgusted by this whole sh*t.

And pretending it’s “just words” is exactly how people die.

\n⬆️ I reunited with all my cousins - sadly for a funeral, but together nonetheless
\n⬆️ I bought a Japanese food box from a Tokyo entrepreneur. It might sound small, but it meant a lot to me. I love Japan, and everything connected to it
\n⬆️ I got a Ninja BBQ ♥️
\n⬆️ I bought a CampSnap and a CampSnap Pro - I love taking photos without screens stealing the moment
\n⬆️ I joined an African drums class and met genuinely wonderful people
\n⬇️ My dad faced heart issues, and by the end of the year, problems that made walking very difficult
\n⬆️ I’m back to planning on paper. Trying to stick to it.

\n

2025 was heavy.
\nBut it was also honest.
\nIt showed me where I failed, where I loved deeply, and where I still need to grow.

\n

I’m walking into the next year with less noise, more intention - and the hope to be softer with myself and better for the people I love.

I’ve been a Day One user for over 10 years.

My first entry dates back to 2013.

\n

Until recently, I kept one journal per year. But yesterday, I decided to consolidate everything into a single journal—nearly 3,000 entries.

\n

And that’s when the trouble began. My new journal won’t sync on iOS or the web.

\n

I reached out to support, but no response so far.

\n

Since all my entries were still on my Mac, I decided to export them year by year as a backup — in case I needed to switch to another app. And then came the bad news: all images from older entries were low-resolution.

\n

Now, I’m stuck with a Day One that won’t sync and a local archive where my full-resolution images and videos are missing.

\n

I’m nervous. Very nervous !!!

I love to travel, to see new places, new cultures, and meet new people.\nUnfortunately, I don’t have the time or the financial means to do this as I wish.

One of my biggest dreams, however, is to one day visit Japan. It’s a country that has fascinated me for years.

If I were to find out tomorrow that I only have a year to live, I think the first thing I would do is buy a ticket to Japan. It’s sad to say that under the pressure of “if I were to die,” I would go immediately, but without that pressure, I can’t bring myself to do it. At least not now…

\n

My children are still young, and we couldn’t go with them, especially not that far. I know some people do, but that’s not us. Leaving them behind is difficult for both us and them, especially since visiting a country like Japan requires at least two weeks.

\n

One day, though, I will make it happen. I hope to still have the strength to do it; that is my only fear. As my children grow, perhaps we will all be able to go together and truly enjoy the experience.

\n

Until then… I will remain with my dreams, feelings, and hopes.

podiGirl is undergoing a tonsil operation today.

Only one parent is allowed with her. Currently, her mother is waiting in podiGirl’s room, while I’m in the hospital’s waiting room.

At 10 am, they informed us that the surgery would take about 1 hour. It’s now 11:30, and we haven’t received any updates yet. I understand it’s a routine procedure, but the wait is incredibly stressful… 🫣

The washing machine “died” the other day, so today I’ll have to go in search of a new one.

I looked around a lot yesterday, but honestly, I’m lost. I don’t know what to look for, what to rely on, or what’s good and what’s not. So, I’ll go to the stores today in the hope that I’ll manage to find an okay model.

The main issue is that I don’t have much depth space, so I’m quite limited in terms of available models.

I have been working at my current company for approximately six years. I am dedicated to my job and have a good relationship with my colleagues and superiors. I consistently demonstrate punctuality and respect, and I believe I am a valuable employee. However, it frustrates me when I see new colleagues being hired at a similar or even higher salary than mine.

I can’t help but feel that loyalty and respect do not hold much value in today’s workplace. It seems like everything is a competition to earn the highest pay, regardless of the impact on others. For instance, there is a new colleague who may be technically competent, but their lack of professionalism and disregard for others, such as frequent delays, disrespectful behavior, and immaturity in certain situations, is concerning.

I find it unfair that such an individual can begin their professional journey at the same level it took me six years to achieve. While I acknowledge that I may have not effectively highlighted my skills and accomplishments during the hiring process, I still believe that staying with a company for an extended period should be respected and valued.

Lately, I have been feeling increasingly underappreciated. If things continue in this manner, I may be compelled to begin searching for another job.
